The Regent Quartet is highly experienced in providing music for weddings. Indeed, this is one of the main areas of our work. We play regularly for wedding services, ceremonies and receptions in venues throughout London and the south-east. Each wedding is a unique occasion and we will tailor our performance to suit your needs for the day. However, it may be useful to know our normal practice.

The Marriage Service or Ceremony | ||
|
Normally we will play for fifteen minutes before the ceremony to provide a good atmosphere as guests arrive. We can then play for the entrance of the bride, during the signing of the register and for the exit of the bridal party. |

Our repertoire includes all the famous bridal marches and traditional wedding music. We have compiled a list of suggested pieces for each part of the ceremony that you may find helpful. Please click on the link above to view. |

|
Of course not everybody wants the traditional approach, and we are happy for you to choose other pieces from our repertoire list. Some of the less obvious pieces on the suggestions list have been added as they were chosen by brides and worked extremely well. |

| Drinks Reception and Wedding Breakfast | |||
|
It is very easy for the quartet to move from the ceremony to the reception. Here having live music from the quartet can really add to the celebratory atmosphere as guests relax and enjoy themselves. We can play either just for the drinks reception, or for both the drinks and the wedding breakfast. Music for the Drinks Reception and/or Wedding Breakfast |

We have a broad repertoire designed to suit and delight most musical tastes. This includes famous classical pieces such “The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi, beautiful opera favourites such as “Cavalleria Rusticana” and music of a popular style from the world of musicals, jazz and ragtime. Our range of styles shows how flexible a quartet can be. There are sonorous, lyrical pieces as well as upbeat, lively jazz numbers, such as “I’ve Got Rhythm!” by Gershwin and Cole Porter’s “Let’s Do It.” Please see a full list of repertoire on the repertoire page via the link on the left. |

We will definitely recommend you." (Sophie & Ian Bothamley, wedding August 2006) "I would just like to thank you for the lovely music provided by the Regent Quartet.
